Literature Text

Veins

Streams of blue and green,
Flowing peacefully along a purple lake,
Above upon the pink imprints,
And under an ocean of a strange cream,
Inside this ocean the streams and lakes,
Flow side by side and let me live,
The strange shapes and scars,
This seemingly solid ocean shows,

Strange lines and groves that cover me,
A boney white of ten crescents,
All in a row along these ten mountains,
But inside where the streams flow,
When they escape and gasp for air,
They run red along every hair,
Some may faint, some could scream,
But no longer, does this ocean terrify me,

These moulded solid oceans,
Brought by dirt, water, or mud,
I do not care,
These pale and fragile velvet scars,
Said to be a perfect image.
Yet different from every other,
Told to be mortal and forever ageing,
Are my veins really perfect?
A poem I wrote. I hope you all like it.
